30-day trading volume (USD) is the total trading volume for the corresponding market.

Main and sub-accounts

If you have any sub-accounts, your fee tier will be determined by the combined 30-day trading volume and daily asset balance of all main and sub-accounts, and each account will enjoy the same fee tier benefits. If you create a new sub-account, your fee tier benefits will take effect for that account at 4:00 PM UTC.

30-day trading volume (USD)

Each day's trading volume is calculated in the following way. The asset quantity from a day's trades is multiplied by its closing price in USDT, and then the USD value is calculated using the USDT/USD daily closing price on the purchase day.

Example: You bought 1 ETH. The ETH/USDT closing price on the day of purchase was 4,000 USDT, and the USDT/USD closing price on the day of purchase was 1.0001 USD. The trading volume is therefore 4,000 × 1.0001 ≈ 4,000.4 USD.

Assets (USD)

Each day at 16:00 UTC, the platform takes a snapshot of the quantity of each asset you hold across trading, funding, and financial accounts. Assets borrowed through margin or lending are not included. The asset quantity is multiplied by its previous day's closing price against USDT, then the USD value is calculated using the USDT/USD daily closing price on the purchase day. To determine your asset amount, the platform uses whichever is higher between the daily snapshot and your past 30-day average.

Example: You hold 0.5 ETH. The ETH/USDT previous day's closing price was 4,000 USDT, and the USDT/USD closing price on the day of purchase was 1.0001 USD. Assets (USD) is therefore 0.5 × 4,000 × 1.0001 ≈ 2,000.2 USD.

Makers and taker orders

A maker order is an order that enters the order book and isn't filled immediately. A taker order is an order that is immediately filled against an existing order on the order book. For example, if the lowest BTC ask price is 1,000 USDT and you place a buy order at 999 USDT, it will stay in the order book until someone fills it. Once filled, you'll pay the maker fee, while the counterparty (the taker) pays the taker fee.

How trading fees are calculated

Spot/Margin trading fee = Fee rate × Amount of crypto received when the order is filled.

Example: You have a maker fee of 0.08% and a taker fee of 0.1%. You buy or sell BTC at a price of 100,000 USDT.

If you buy 1 BTC at market price and are a taker, the trading fee is 0.1% × 1 BTC = 0.001 BTC. After fees, you receive 0.999 BTC.
If you sell 1 BTC at limit price, receiving 100,000 USDT, and are a maker in this trade, the trading fee is 0.08% × 100,000 USDT = 80 USDT. After the fee, you receive 99,920 USDT.
How negative trading fees are calculated (for VIP 7-9)

VIP 7-9 users may enjoy negative trading fees, which means you earn a rebate when carrying out trades. Trading fee rebate = Fee rate × Amount of crypto sold when the order is filled.

Example: You have a maker fee of -0.002% and a taker fee of 0.025%. The price of BTC is 100,000 USDT.
